In a world where every genre has been manipulated in basically every way possible, it’s hard to create a truly unique piece of music. The highly individual talents of DJ Uffe defies all musical expectations in ‘Vi’. The track opens with a collage of industrial percussion which eventually filters down to allow a quiet synth pad to fade in. Unexpectedly, nearly four minutes in, a solemn voice enters with the lyric “we’re all gonna die.” The piece then drops back into its rumbling percussion and takes us through its journey of truly unique composition.
